Electrobics is a programme of understanding, exercise and self-discovery about the health of the entire body and faculties, with particular emphasis upon the non-physical and unseen part of us – our energy systems.
It is a programme that combines movement, exercise, posture, personal expression, meditation and, most importantly, understandings about how to improve ourselves in how we use our body, mind and faculties and the quality of the energies that we run on.
Electrobics has been likened to martial arts for the mind, body and soul in the way that it unifies the power of thought and action inside deliberate and purposeful movement. Some of the benefits of practicing Electrobics are

Electrobics was started over 25 years ago and combines the disciplines and ceremony found in a dojo with the deep and powerful meditative states found in yoga or Tai Chi. Whilst there is a substantial series of work which has been established into a sequence of ‘kata like movements’, Electrobics itself is unfinished, new forms and new study are regularly being developed by the founders and students of Electrobics
Electrobics classes draw on the study of the body and mind through areas such as World Theatre & Dance Methods, Body Language and Posture, The Face & Masks, Power of the Mind, Training Exercises and Games and more…. a typical session will combine some practice of the established work and live exploration into new study.
Electrobics is enjoyable for all ages and abilities, classes are run in an inclusive and welcoming environment. It is a fascinating journey that will inspire, uplift and ignite creativity and personal theatre.
